Since 1996, the military variants of the Defender (Land Rover designation: Defender XD – Extra Duty) have been used under the name Wolf (English pronunciation – not to be confused with the Wolf of the Bundeswehr). These are specially revised variants of the Defender TDi. At least 27 equipment variants are known from various contracts.
Essentially, these are modified compared to the civilian version:

Military lights specs which also shuts off brake lights, horn and indicators, so no chance you can make a fatal mistake while you try to sneak out when it is pitch dark.
