The Fiat 238 was a van produced by the Italian car manufacturing company Fiat from 1967 to 1983, as the successor to the Fiat 1100T. The front-wheel drive car was based on the Autobianchi Primula chassis. The 238 was produced from the beginning in many different body styles for commercial and passenger transport. There was also a separate version for ambulances. In 1974 Fiat introduced a new van, the Fiat 242 with a larger petrol engine and also a diesel engine variant. Despite this, the demand for the Fiat 238 remained unabated and Fiat decided to keep it in production and made the new larger petrol engine also available for the 238. The 238 was produced until 1983 and replaced by the Fiat Ducato, production of which started in 1981. This is an example of the rare and demanded nine-seater minibus variant, this FIAT 238 is finished in beige and is in very good condition both inside and out. The car was imported from Italy in 2014 and thoroughly restored in Austria. This is an interesting alternative to the more common Volkswagen Type 2. This charming FIAT minibus is offered with Austrian registration documents.
