1927 Hispano Suiza H6B Park Ward foursome Coupe

Arriving with us soon.  We will be conducting a full photo shoot upon the cars arrival.1927 Hispano Suiza H6B Park Ward foursome Coupe.Chassis number: 11608Registration number:YE3697Engine number: 30,1590Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to be offering this 1927 Hispano Suiza H6B Park Ward foursome Coupe for sale. This was the Olympia show car new in 1926 shown with Hooper 2 door coupe Bodywork. The first owner was Lt-Cdr Montague Graham White. He sent the car back to Hoopers in 1937 for minor modifications such as the installation of a sun visor etc. His exploits are well documented and he appears with the Hispano Suiza  in "The Golden Age of Motoring - 1900 -1940" by Roy Bacon. The Hispano Suiza won 1st Prize at many ‘Concourse D' Eegance’ meetings including…1927 Monte Carlo. Grand Prix plus Silver cupCannes. Grand Prix plus Plaquettes plus Perrier Jouet Cup1928 Bournemouth. Bainbridge Cup plus Grand BannerLe Touquet. Grand Prix plus Finest car all classesSouthport. First Prise, cars over £1,5001929 Brighton. Edlin Trophy1930 Cannes. Grand Prix. Silver Challenge CupThe Hispano Suiza has undergone an extensive restoration and is presented in excellent running order throughout, The current enthusiast owner Has greatly improved the car spending vast sums with specialist engineers Kenworthy & comany to put it in tip top order. The car has just had a full service & been displayed at Salon Prive before being given to us to sell.  As a consequence the car presents beautifully & is absolutely ready for extended use.The current body is a Park Ward two door foursome coupe, body number 3253, not dissimilar to the original Hooper body. It was built by Park Ward in 1929 and fitted to a six & a half litre Bentley engine. We have paperwork to trace the body all though its existence until today where we find it on the Hispano which it fits and suits beautifully. There are numerous photographs of the body being fitted to the car.The interior of the Hispano Suiza is dark green leather to the front and rear seating areas, the rear seats being of the occasional fold down variety with the leather extending also to the door cards. Carpeting is a matching green with fawn wool headlining being fitted. There is a large easily operated sunroof in situ for summer motoring. Unusually, both the front and rear windows hinge open allowing for a huge volume of cooling air to pass through the cab for more tropical motoring. The dash board is a magnificent item made from Ivory and contains a correct set of the original requisite instruments. The various switches have a knurled finish and a delightfully tactile feel to them in operation. Meticulous in the extreme, the  owner supplies us with the following information:Modifications…Temperature gauge made and fitted, on dash.Coolant expansion tank made and fitted. Radiator cap modified so mascot can be removed without breaking the water system.Electric fan fitted, behind radiator, with switch on dash.Electric fuel pump and filter, fitted above fuel tank. Float cut-off inserted in Autovac.Flashing indicators incorporated into side lights. Semaphore system retained. Switch betweenthe 2 systems, under dash RHS.Flame-arrester fitted into carburettor air intake tube.Remote oilers fitted to rear trunnions, allowing access from under chassis (so access holethrough body, un-necessary).Rack for trolley-jack fitted above fuel tank and compartments for tools, oils etc. below bootfloor and under running boards.Hispano-Suiza dealers enamel plaque (Niort) added on inside of drivers door.ToolsWheel spannerHub extractorClutch adjusterValve adjusterTyre valve nut driverCam-chest spannerLarge 'C' spanner for wheel discs'Boa Constrictor' for removing radiator capFitted trolly jackLarge air-intake 'mushrooms' with K&N air filtersKeys: ignition switch, doors, tool boxesReference DocumentsRestoration Record, photosCollation of historical pictures: car and its 3 bodiesManual (hand-written notes)Collation of drawings ( from patents Marc Birkigt) and original Parts Catalogue.Nowell Stebbing.
