On 17 May 1966, John P. Loughlin from Newark, New Jersey in the United States became the first owner of this stunning Jaguar S-type 3.8 automatic. He cherished this treasure for no less than 27 years.
Its second owner was Noble House, who bought the car on behalf of one of her clients. In 1993, the odometer reading was only 60,000 miles. The Jaguar was in a good, original condition and was ready for its ‘second life’. The S-type’s new purpose was being a company car on the congested roads of the Netherlands. In order to get a registration in the Netherlands, a lot of mechanical work was done on the car. Between 1994 and 2000, around 40,000 business miles passed under its lovely wire wheels. After this, the car was traded in at Noble House for another classic Jaguar.
Noble House once again carried out work on the S-type. Here, minor sheet metal work was done and the car was fully re-sprayed in its original colour. The interior was provided with brand new leather upholstery and new woodwork. Since receiving this treatment, and with a odometer reading of 119.189 miles, the S-type was in excellent condition.
In October 2015 the Jaguar was bought by a Jaguar lover from Luxemburg who took care of her for a period of 6 years. He had necessary repairs done and she got her regular service. The last service was done on 28 September 2021. The overall investment by the last owner is around Euro 6.500,- !
He only drove about 9.500 miles with the S-Type after which he decided to change to another Jaguar from Noble House and traded in the S-Type. Therefore this S-Type in the beautiful Jaguar color Gunmetal Grey comes for sale again.
Noble House did a full technical check on the car and invested around Euro 3.800,- on work and parts.
With the car comes the original Manufacturer’s Warranty Card from 1969(!), the Certificate of Title from 1994 when Noble House bought the Jaguar S-Type from the first owner, the original S-Type maintenance and service book and invoices from the last years of service. The steering wheel was changed by the last owner, but the original S-Type steering wheel is with the car.
For Dutch buyers, the former old-timer registration for the Netherlands will still be available at the RDW.
