Summer Trial 2018 visits the Peak District

Starting and finishing in the stunning Peak District, Summer Trial 2018 is the ideal way to start your adventure into historic regularity rallying. The event is aimed at those new to rallying, it can also be used as a great way to shake down your car for longer events or introduce your partner or a family member to the sport.

The format of the event is designed so less impact is placed on your work commitments, a prologue takes part on Friday afternoon, this is very straightforward and eases you into the Summer Trial. Saturday is a full day’s rallying, Sunday, as a rule, generally finishes in the early afternoon with a prize giving and buffet lunch which allows you to be back at work on Monday. Navigation is by straightforward tulip diagrams with some simple, straight-forward map sections to help you progress.

The driving tests are held on private land, and will allow you to enjoy your vehicle at it’s best! The Summer Trial has quickly become the UK’s favourite Summer event, it attracts crews from all over Europe, early entry is advisable. The event is classified as Introductory, making it suitable for any level of experience, there is no night time driving, most roads used on the route and driving tests are sealed tarmac. The emphasis of the Summer Trial has always been a fun yet competitive event which caters for all levels of ability, absolute novice to seasoned expert.
