This Ford Model T, offered by Classic Park, was first registered in 1924. The car is designed as a two-seater coupe in the typical Ford black. A quarreled statement by Henry Ford was "You can order the Model T in any color, as long as it's black." A little research indicates that this is not entirely true. When the Model T was introduced in 1908, it was certainly possible to order multiple colors. Only the engineers discovered that during the process the color black dried much faster than the other colors. That is why it was decided in 1914 to only offer black as a color from then on. From 1926, in the last years of production, the Model T was again offered in multiple colors. The car is in good condition and still has an original 2.9L four-cylinder engine made in September 1926 and an original 2-speed manual gearbox. The unique thing about this gearbox is that it works like an automatic transmission. The left pedal holds the gearbox when pressed in a low range and when released in a high range. The center pedal is used to put the car in reverse and the right pedal is the brake built into the transmission. There was no gas pedal and this had to be operated on the steering wheel. This Model T is equipped with wooden wheels which give the car a very authentic look. The car also has a sunshade above the windshield.

Driving Model T's are relatively scarce despite the large production numbers. A study in 2008 showed that at that time there were only 50,000-60,000 driving value copies. The car has a dormant Dutch license plate and offers a very authentic driving experience for relatively little money. The Ford Model T was introduced in 1908 as the twentieth model Henry Ford had developed since Ford's founding in 1903. The Ford Model T is often referred to as the first mass-produced car, but this is not technically true. The first mass-produced car on a production line was the 1901 Oldsmobile Curved Dash. The idea for the production line also came from founder Ransom E. Olds. In the end 19,000 of the Curved Dash were made, a large number for that time. However, it was Ford and his engineers who streamlined the process and made it much more efficient. In 1910, Ford moved into a new factory geared towards mass production. This was a great success. While less manpower was used, car production time fell from 12.5 hours in 1910 to 93 minutes in 1914. In 1914, Ford produced more cars than all other automakers in the world combined. The car was a great success and by the time Ford produced its 10 millionth car, half (!) Of all cars in the world were Ford. In total, more than 15 million Model T's were produced with a peak of 9,000 to 10,000 cars per day (!) In 1925, or 2 million cars per year. It was not until 1972 that the Volkswagen Beetle would be the first car to exceed this number. In 1999, the Model T was named the most influential car of the 20th century for the BMC Mini, Citroen DS and Volkswagen Beetle. Ford's Model T was so successful because it enabled cheap transportation on a large scale and became a powerful symbol of America's strong modernization and growing middle class. With more than 15 million units sold, the Model T remains eighth in the top 10 best-selling cars ever.
