Description

The Jaguar XJS Coupé is a timelessly beautiful design. We still see them regularly because at the time it was a very popular model in the Jaguar range. What we rarely see, however, is a Jaguar XJS Coupé that was delivered new in the Netherlands. This example comes from the second owner. The first owner bought the car new from Cito Motors in Eindhoven in 1986 and kept the car until no less than 2018. Then the car was sold to the second owner, a Jaguar collector with a large collection. The car has only 96,000 demonstrable miles and is in beautiful condition. The first owner put together an extremely beautiful car. He ordered the car in this beautiful metallic red exterior color and complemented the configuration with an impeccably fine beige leather interior. It's a beautiful color combination that perfectly matches the car's upscale appearance. It's not just the color combination that makes this car a stunning specimen but also the engine setup couldn't be better. This Jaguar XJS is in fact powered by the 5.3 liter V12 engine which in this case is mated to a four speed automatic transmission. The body of the Jaguar still looks very nice. The paint has been repainted once already for cosmetic reasons and is still in very good condition. Of course, the paint has here and there some light traces of use which are appropriate for the age and mileage. The chrome on the bumpers is also in very good condition as well as the original alloy wheels. The sheet metal on the body is nice and thin and the fits are correct.

The interior is completely original and is still in very good condition. It is immediately clear at first sight that this car has had a luxurious life until now, just as it should be in a Jaguar. The interior is upholstered in beautiful and supple beige leather and still looks neat and tidy. The dashboard has wood inlays that are also neatly cared for. Furthermore, some chauvinism can not be denied to the gentlemen of Cito Motors because for a car company in Brabant there is no other option than to install a Philips car radio. The Jaguar XJS is further equipped with extensive luxuries such as climate control, an on-board computer, cruise control and of course that fabulous V12 engine. The technique is always well maintained and the maintenance history is present with the car. The Jaguar is a typical “Gran Tourer” this big cat is made for driving around Europe at speed and in comfort. The engine delivers 295 hp and is mainly focused on delivering torque. The suspension filters all bumps out of the road surface effortlessly and gives you a lot of confidence to drive the car smoothly. The steering feel is very good and it takes no effort to convincingly set course in this stately British tourer. The car comes with a full board folder and even the old registration papers are preserved with the car. In short, not only a rarity, as a Dutch delivered car, but also in the condition of this specimen. An all-rounder with a killer engine!
