Description

Initially rejected by the trade press and Porsche enthusiasts, the Targa became a true bestseller and has enriched the Porsche model range almost continuously to this day.

Introduced to the market in 1967, vehicles with folding rear windows were produced for the first two years.

These models are called “SOFTWINDOW TARGA”. They belong to the very rare Porsche vehicle variants.

From model year 1969, all Porsche 911 Targa have the fixed rear glass roof.

The mechanical injection pump made by Bosch was also used for the first time in the 1969 model year. These 2.0 engines produce an incredible 170 hp.

A few customers still ordered the "softwindow" version of the Targa model, which was effectively dropped from the model line.

You have to be a real Targa enthusiast, because at the high speeds that an early 911 S could reach, the extreme wind noise turns the ride into a "hurricane ride".

But when the sun shines, there is nothing more beautiful!

Only 13 vehicles are produced in this variant at the request of the customer.

The 911 S 2.0 softwindow is one of the rarest 911s ever built.

The offered vehicle was originally delivered in Austria.

The original Austrian individual approval notification is available.

The vehicle was completely restored 5 years ago and painted in the original color Sanguine Orange (6802).

The entire drive technology, engine, gearbox and axles have been completely overhauled.

The interior has also been refurbished, with meticulous attention to reusing original parts.

The Targa roof as well as the softwindow roof are in perfect condition.

The vehicle is part of a private collection

We have decided to put this extremely rare Porsche in good hands who appreciate this unique investment.
