This Austin Healey Sebring Sprite is built using a new chassis by Wheeler & Davies, equipped with a fiberglass Frogeye rear end, and a full roll cage with sidebars that are custom-made to fit very tightly under the roof section.
The hardtop is glued to the lower bodywork to give extra strength, especially to the rear end where part of the center panel was cut out.
Bonnet is reinforced with Kevlar honeycomb and tied to the standard unit to prevent slacking of the middle section on the rocker cover. The doors are a direct copy of the original Sebring doors but made in Kevlar.
Car is painted in the color Royal blue with silver stripe.
This Sebring Sprite is also in possession of FIA passport and has driven the car in various rallies, including the Historic Tulpenralley 1995, Healey meets Lemans 2006 etc.
Regarding modifications, there are 13 inch Minator rims with new AVON CR6ZZ 175 / 70R / 13 tires (suitable for rally and circuit use); Manual close ratio 4-speed gearbox "Hardy Engeneering" Moss Competion; Front suspension new with Heritage wishbones, race springs Peter May, competition Armstrong shock absorbers; Rear axle entirely with Peter May parts; Improved braking system; 1330 cc Engine with Powermax pistons and equipped with a Stage IV Minisport cylinder head; Kent KMD276 camshaft; Kent adjustable timing chain, 1275 upgraded coupling, 45 DCOE Weber carburetor, etc. etc. emerged and the wiring harness has recently been partially renewed.
