Description

It happens regularly in our showroom that people say to a red Ferrari 328: “look, that is the car of Magnum P.I.”. We totally get it, but anyone who takes a critical look will obviously see differences. In 1985, the 328 succeeded the 308. As of now, this Ferrari had a 3.2-liter engine on board with 270 horsepower. Of course, the 308 underwent various upgrades prior to this so that in the last version before the 328, the 308 Quattrovalvole produced 240 hp, but the 328 naturally produced more power. In principle, we can say that the 1973 308 GT4 2+2 was the origin of Ferrari's new line. At the time, this GT4 succeeded the Ferrari 246 GT Dino. Designed by Bertone, the new 308 was insanely modern for the time and was not immediately well received by everyone. Everyone agreed that the performance of the 3.0-liter V8 was excellent for the time. This was followed in 1975 by the 308 GTB, which of course was very similar to the 328. Built on a shorter wheelbase, the stunningly beautiful 308 GTB marked the return to a design that could only have come from Pininfarina. So in 1985, the 308 was succeeded by the 328 GTB. By increasing both the bore and stroke, the capacity of the Quattrovalvole engine was increased to 3,186cc, which, along with a higher compression ratio, different pistons and engine management system, increased the maximum power output to 270 hp. Top speed was increased to nearly 258 km/h and the sprint to 100 km/h was covered in just over 5.5 seconds. Those are serious numbers! The body was given some of the features of the Ferrari Testarossa, including the molded bumpers with both side lights and turn signals, a different rear bumper and a roof spoiler. This Ferrari was delivered to its first German owner on May 21, 1987. Therefore, this is an original European Ferrari. The owner chose the Targa version, also called GTS, and in the color scheme Rosso Corsa Ferrari (300) with Magnolia leather upholstery. Included documentation includes the original owner's manual and service booklet. In addition, an appraisal report is present. Also present are ample invoices showing that this 328 received the necessary maintenance at a reputable Ferrari specialist in recent years. The last owner owned this Ferrari for ten years. The bodywork is in nice condition and looks good. The hood closes nicely, as do the doors and the roof. The headlights and rims look good. The paint is in nice condition and shows only light signs of use, which is nothing unusual considering the age and mileage of the car.The interior is upholstered in Magnolia upholstery and beige carpets. The leather is supple and is in clean condition. The instruments and controls are all in very good condition and look very nice and cared for. The rubbers of the targa roof are also in great condition. The roof is easy to operate and can be stored behind the seats, so you will not be surprised by a sudden rain shower. An additional advantage of the targa roof is the nice contrast with the Rosso Corsa paint. The technology has been very well maintained over the years. The 3.2 liter engine is transversely mounted in the rear and produces 270 hp. The engine is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and is very responsive to the throttle. The sound of the eight-cylinder engine directly behind you is unëvenerable and typical Ferrari. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, which shifts accurately and has pleasant ratios. In short, a beautiful Ferrari 328 GTS in a stunning livery and in good condition. Are you interested in this beautiful Ferrari 328 GTS? Then please contact us, we will be happy to help you.
