At our family business, it’s all about cars that evoke emotion. Cars that do more than just deliver impressive performance. Some Ferraris possess that gift to an extraordinary degree. The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona is a model that is not only admired but also symbolizes an era when design, engineering, and passion came together at a level that hardly exists today.
This example takes you back to 1971 or, given the beautiful original interior, to around 1975. The car is finished in the rare Giallo Senape, a mustard-yellow hue that emphasizes the Daytona’s lines in an almost theatrical way. Only nine examples were ever delivered new in this color, and as far as we know, this is the only Daytona still sporting its original Giallo Senape today. This makes the Ferrari exceptionally rare and incredibly fascinating to behold. The color scheme highlights the sharp lines of the iconic design and complements the Daytona’s distinctive personality.
Delivered new in Italy in 1971, this Daytona later moved to Switzerland before eventually reaching the United States via Rob de la Rive Box. It eventually returned to Europe and became part of a German collection.
In recent years, the Daytona has been restored, overhauled, and rebuilt with the utmost care. No expense was spared, and only renowned specialists were involved. The bodywork was handled by Auto Classica Rubbio, while the engine and transmission were overhauled by Roelofs Engineering. The chrome work was done in Italy, and the correct carpets were specially produced in Modena.
Original elements have been carefully preserved during restoration. The leather seats and dashboard remain untouched, offering an authentic interior experience. This approach combines the quality of a high-end restoration with the genuine feel of an original example.
This Daytona is matching numbers and matching colors. Its history has been extensively researched and documented by the renowned Ferrari historian Massini. The car comes with a comprehensive collection of documentation and invoices detailing the restoration process.
The Daytona was the last classic front-engine V12 Ferrari in a lineage dating back to the brand’s origins. Its long hood, elegant lines, and subtle aggression showcase a Ferrari from an era when beauty and mechanical perfection went hand in hand.
The V12 engine roars to life with a raw, mechanical, and emotional sound that is pure sensation. The driving experience is impressive and visceral, making this Ferrari not just a pleasure to look at but to feel behind the wheel.
