The 500 My Car was a version of the 500 developed by the Vercelli coachbuilder Francis Lombardi , boasted eye-catching features, some of which were never adopted by later production models, these included:

contoured dashboard covered in black plastic
more upholstered and contoured seats
stainless steel underdoor fascias
cambered grille with chrome zamak grille and recessed headlights
stainless steel drip pans
Chrome trim in front windshield and rear window seals
wood steering wheel and shift knob
compass-opening rear windows (only in the hardtop version, also to allow air to escape when closing the doors, a problem not present in the sunroof version)
glove box on the transmission tunnel

The most innovative element of this car is first and foremost the nose, with differently shaped grille and zamak grille. Another distinctive feature is, in the closed-roof version, the conformation of the roof, which, with two longitudinal ribs and a small spoiler, gave an image of sportiness and sophistication, improved its habitability and soundproofing (thanks to the sound-absorbing interior lining).
