The car on offer here, chassis no. 297022, is a Garage Maestricht Alumnus. We have sold this exact car a few years ago to a Dutch entusiast who, after careful consideration, finally decided that it was time to move it on as it just didn't get used enough. As this is one of the best Giardiniera's we've ever come across, we were only to happy to assist with that, ofcourse!

Today the Fiat is registered in the Netherlands under reg number 21-YE-89, and has been looked after with great care and has been serviced regularly after purchasing from us a few years ago. An expert valuation report (Verstrate Taxaties) from October 2024 is present in the history file valuating the Fiat at €18.500,-. Since then, the Giardiniera has covered just 1.000 km's.

The origins of this Giardiniera are (like most of them) Italian, as it was first registered in 1973 in the home market of Italy. Today this Giardiniera presents in exceptional condition throughout thanks to a full restoration some years ago in both aesthetical and technical terms. The spec is as good as it gets; Azzuro Acquamarina 433 (arguably the best colour on any classic Fiat 500) over a light Beige hide. The Fiat is suited with engine number 0430453, believed the original one from new.

It is evident the overall condition of this one exceeds most standards on Fiat 500’s, a lovely consistent paint finish, correct and original spotwelds in the various places as well as great and coherent shutlines throughout. Fixings, chrome work, rubbers and seals – everything is totally correct. The Fiat has received an anti-rust coating on the underside as well as rust-proofing in the various apertures to give it the best fighting chance against the elements for years to come.

Technically the car is as sound as it looks, greatly pulling engine (in equally restored condition), smooth gearbox with all ancillaries working as they should without exception. The last service was carried out in June 2025 (400 km's ago), and the car benefits from a pair of near-new Cinturato tires - needing for nothing from a next custodian before taking it on the road. It comes complete with its original jack, spare wheel and history file.

Bite-Size:

Certainly one of the best and most complete examples of its kind available anywhere. Today it is offered at a fraction of the price it would cost to restore it to this condition.
