Model D was produced from 1960 to 1965 (a total of 642,000 examples - data Centro Storico Fiat). The displacement is the same as the New 500 Sport, which just from 1960 was no longer produced. The first model ever (the Fiat Nuova 500 born in 1957) had a displacement of 479 cm3. From November 1961 to March 1965 improvements were introduced, especially in bodywork, different door molds and various modifications.

Top speed reaches 95 km/h, like the Giardiniera.
