Under the hood, it features a 5.4L supercharged DOHC modular V8 engine producing 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. It has a 6-speed manual transaxle and is a PB1-1 production representative build prototype. It was certified to reach a top speed of 209.1 MPH at the Nardo Ring in Italy. This car is one of only two Ford GTs sent to Europe for high-speed validation testing, equipped with development cooling air foils, a development Hoosier R6 tire program, SVT track alignment specifications, a roll cage, and dual Sparco 5-point racing harnesses.
The exterior features a factory yellow finish and is an original PB1-1 Ford engineering prototype. It includes development cooling aero components, prototype high-speed validation configuration, and original Ford prototype identification. It is considered one of the most historically significant Ford GTs ever produced.
Inside, it has a black leather interior with factory Ford GT bucket seats, dual Sparco 5-point harnesses, an integrated roll cage, and prototype instrumentation configuration. The interior contains original Ford engineering components.
The vehicle's documentation and provenance include VIN 1FAFP90S25Y400037, making it the first vehicle in Ford's production-representative build program. It comes with the original Ford SVT equipment sale agreement, extensive Ford engineering documentation, original Nardo testing documents, and target 200 test media. It was featured during the European Ford GT press launch and is a documented Top Gear magazine test vehicle from July 2004. Additional materials include original display boards, photographs, correspondence, CDs, posters, and event materials. It was acquired directly from Ford Motor Company by Chris McGregor and has continuous provenance from the original Ford owner.
