This 1964.5 Ford Mustang coupe was built as a K-code 289 and underwent a multi-year refurbishment that was completed in 2017. The car is finished in Rangoon Red over a red and white interior and is powered by a 289ci V8. Equipment includes Hi-Po-spec cylinder heads, a Holley Street Warrior carburetor, 15″ Scott Drake wheels, a cabin heater, a Hurst shifter, and front bucket seats, and a T5 five-speed manual transmission, a Moser rear end, Wilwood front disc brakes, Flowmaster mufflers, and Sanderson headers were added following the seller’s acquisition in 2020. This Mustang is now offered with records from current ownership and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The 15″ Scott Drake wheels were mounted with 235/60 redline tires in 2024. Wilwood front disc brakes, a brake booster, and a replacement master cylinder were installed in 2020.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red vinyl along with white door panels and red carpets. A Hurst shifter has been installed.
Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer flanked by fuel-level and water-temperature gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership.
The 289ci V8 is equipped with Hi-Po-spec cylinder heads and a Holley Street Warrior carburetor. Sanderson exhaust headers and dual Flowmaster mufflers were installed in 2020. Casting numbers are shown in the gallery. There is no VIN stamp on the engine block.
A five-speed T5 manual transmission and 3.50:1 Moser rear end were installed in 2020 along with a replacement clutch and flywheel.
