Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia proudly presents a 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 Tribute. In 1965, Carroll Shelby started modifying Ford Mustangs and called it the Shelby GT350. Powered by a 306 Horsepower "k code" 289 CID V8, it dominated the streets and race tracks in it's day. By 1967, the 289 Small block had been replaced by the legendary 428 Cobra Jet V8 topped with two Holly carburetors making 355 Horsepower, thus the GT500 was born!!! Although this car isn't a true GT500, it definitely has the styling and performance of one. In place of the big block sits a fresh 363 supercharged small block with a Fast EFI making an estimated 600 Wheel Horsepower. Backed up by a Tremec TKO 600 5 Speed and a Ford 9 inch rear axle, this car can really get the power to the ground. The suspension has been upgraded as well with Varishock Coil-overs, Heidts 4-link rear setup, TCP front control arms, And to top it off, 4 wheel Wilwood disk brakes. This car has the performance of a classic Shelby GT500, with the comfort and performance of a new GT500. Other options include Power steering, Power breaks, Heat, Air conditioning, and AM/FM radio.
