Coupled with a four-speed manual transmission, as on this one, that means a whole load of fun and experience.Mustangs destined for the Shelby program were largely built in New Jersey beginning that year and then finished in Michigan with many specific Shelby parts, such as the fibreglass hood, special grille and taillights and a host of specifics such as gauges, logos and customer-ticked options. In mid-March 1968, Shelby GT350 with production number 02802 rolled off the assembly line. Lime Green Metallic was the color chosen by the car's first owner, a doctor from Boise, Idaho. The history of the car remains well known. At the beginning of the new millennium, the car undergoes a complete restoration, retaining many original parts, such as the gauges and other Cobra-specific items. The restoration is so thorough and well done that the workmanship and fits match and in some areas exceed factory specifications. The color of the car comes fully to life in sunlight, beautiful! So the condition of the bodywork can be called optimal and so can the other things visible on the outside. The beautiful ten-spoke wheels, the chrome work and the lighting parts: everything is in optimal condition. This observation can be continued inside because the interior is at least as beautiful as the exterior. The upholstery is beautiful and the seats are fantastic. Once in place carpets and other more general items are more than neat. The dashboard with wood veneer hangs the belts, which are typical Shelby, and the roll bar is obviously there. Also, the and beautiful gauges look in top condition and everything you see or grab is fully functional. The technology is also in a condition where there is simply nothing to worry about. The 302ci V8 performs as it should: impressively and not unnoticed. The sound is wonderful and the powerplant picks up powerfully and smoothly. The gearbox is also pleasant and there are actually no unwanted noises to be detected. To complete the story, the steering, suspension and brakes are also fully up to par and everything functions as you would expect from a cherished Shelby. The Mustang you see here is listed in the Shelby Registry and has been owned exclusively by enthusiasts.
