Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to digitally present this limited edition 1993 Ford LX Mustang Convertible "Feature." Like them or not, the Fox Body platform was revolutionary in its simplicity and efficiency within the rebirth of the Pony Car Wars. The 5.0 Mustangs ruled the streets in the 1980s, that is unless a particularly nasty black Buick was lurking in the waters. In the early 1990s, a well tuned lightweight LX 5.0 was still one of the quickest cars on the road stoplight to stoplight. From 1991 to 1993, Ford built a limited edition number of monochromatic "Feature" Mustangs. These select Pony's featured special paint, embroidered head rests, deck lid luggage rack delete, a special rear spoiler, and 16" Pony wheels. In '93, only 1503 Canary Yellow "Feature" Mustangs were manufactured. It's likely that due to the driving habits of many fox body owners that a large percentage of these special rides have been lost adding to the rarity of the car. What's hard to believe regarding this particular "Feature" is the car is stock right down to the airbox and exhaust headers. The interior could use some TLC, but without question, monochromatic Mustangs will certainly become sought after collectors items in the very near future.
