Ford Thunderbird convertible from 1959 – how many truly fine examples are still available today?
This one stands out with its elegant and striking color combination: Sienna Rose metallic with a white convertible top and white and black interior.
The car arrived in Sweden in 2012 and has since undergone a very tasteful and thorough restoration by a skilled gentleman who has restored many cars over the years – a lot of work and money has been invested. The restoration was completed around 2015–2016, and the car has only been used sparingly on nice days since then.
Some details about the restoration:
Matching-numbers Thunderbird 352 engine and automatic transmission – both rebuilt. The body was stripped to bare metal and then given a high-quality repaint in sections. New interior, fully refurbished convertible frame, and everything that goes along with such an operation. New white soft top, many rechromed parts, chrome wire wheels – the list is long and difficult to fully specify!
A discreet, removable tow hitch has also been installed.
Equipment : Power steering. Power brakes. Four power windows. Power top. Chrome wire wheels with excellent whitewall radial tires.
