NOTE ALPINE RENAULT A110 1600VB (1600S) 1971

This extraordinary Alpine A110 is an authentic icon of 1970s motorsport, crafted with artisanal care and meticulous attention to detail, making it a benchmark both on the track and on the road.

Produced at the historic Alpine Renault factory in Dieppe, the car was born on April 26, 1971, and was soon shipped to the Renault Italian branch, being registered on June 24, 1971, in Savona.

Featuring an aerodynamic design and elegant lines, the A110 1600 is distinguished by its 1600 engine combined with an extremely lightweight structure that ensures agility, precise handling, and an immediate response in every driving situation.
In the 1970s, thanks to its sporty setup and exceptional maneuverability, it became a prominent competitor in several amateur rallies, driven by gentleman drivers and participating in events such as the “Valli Imperiesi 1975” and “Sanremo 1978,” events for which historic photographic documentation is available.

In 1974, the car was further enhanced with a Group 4 specification at the specialized Alpine workshop of Terrosi Silvio, which amplified its performance and sporting potential.

Over the years, the vehicle has obtained numerous certifications that attest to its authenticity and compliance with the original chassis, body, engine, and color numbers.
Among these certifications:
• 1992 – Factory certification by Alpine Renault;
• 1992 – Registration certificate in the Historic Register (RIBA) for the A110, including verification of all numbers stamped on the original badges;
• 2005 – ACI-CSAI Identity for regularity of historic cars;
• 2007 – ASI registration certificate;
• 2010 – FIA-ACI/CSAI Historic Technical Passport for competition vehicles in the GT CAR category.

Between 2016 and 2017, the last owner – a meticulous collector of 1970s sports cars – entrusted the vehicle to a comprehensive restoration that meticulously respected its original features.
The mechanical components, electrical system, bodywork, and interiors were all restored to their factory-new condition, ensuring the vehicle’s authenticity and historical purity.
With less than 1000 km covered since the restoration, the car is now being offered for sale in the hope that its new owner will be a true enthusiast, capable of appreciating and preserving this outstanding specimen, complete with significant historical documentation.
