Description

The C and K series trucks were produced by GM from 1960 through 2002. They were marketed by both Chevrolet and GMC. The C model denoted that it was a 2 wheel drive and K models were equipped with 4WD. Development of the 3rd generation trucks began in 1968 when vehicle parts underwent extensive computer testing before being used. Introduced for the 1973 model year and produced through 1991 the “Square Body” trucks featured largely rectangular front fascia which was revolutionary in appearance breaking away from the typical truck design. This particular example is a Wideside Long Bed that is equipped with a 350ci V8 engine, a T350 auto tranny and a 12 bolt rear end. It has power steering and power brakes with discs up front. It was repainted about 10 years ago and still shows well. It was first sold in CA and lived there until 2024 when it was relocated to IL via Route 66. Before embarking on the trip it was thoroughly serviced to ensure it would make the 2,000 plus mile drive to IL. While on its journey home there were many great photos taken along the iconic route of which a few have been added here. The truck functioned amazingly until the last 100 miles when the tranny started acting up and was slipping in 3rd gear. When it finally made it to IL the current owner had the tranny completely rebuilt and it shifts like new once again. Overall the condition of the truck is well above average. The original interior still shows well, it looks great from the outside and it drives amazingly. Based on its present condition we would classify this as a strong #3 vehicle and as such would appraise it the current JD Power Average Retail Value which is $33,110. We are serious about selling it quickly and have priced it accordingly so if you like what you see we encourage you to reach out before it is too late!
