Description

1965 GMC 1500 Custom Cab. This one-owner family truck was purchased new in Montrose, Colorado, and has 72,000 original miles. It features a 305 V8 gasoline engine with a 2BBL carburetor and a 4-speed manual transmission. Factory options include power steering and power drum brakes. The truck is in overall excellent condition, with zero rust inside or out. The body is very straight, made of Detroit steel. Bumpers, chrome, and emblems are in nice condition. The lines are perfect, and the hood, doors, and tailgate open and close as designed. It starts, runs, drives, and handles exactly as it should, making it easy to drive. The granny 1st gear can pull a tree stump. This vehicle is a great candidate for a shop truck or for cruising to classic car events. It is highly prized for its rugged reliability and unique GMC V6 engine. The originality has been preserved, with no modifications. Features include original vinyl seat covers, original floor mat, pristine floor pans, and a survivor undercarriage. The exhaust and muffler are likely original after 60 years. The truck is equipped with 16-inch chrome 8-lug wheels and tires, towing mirrors, and a heavy-duty towing bumper. Nearly all check-box options were ordered on this truck. It lived in southwestern Colorado until 2016 and was often seen around Blue Mesa Reservoir, hitched to a boat, as seen in vintage photos from the late 60s and early 70s.It was repainted in 2001 in factory colors. The vehicle has a clear Colorado title and is located in Southern California. Call or Text Greg at 951.348.5794.Disclosures include a disconnected heater core with a non-operational heater fan, a tiny oil leak, and some paint chips, imperfections, touch-ups, dings, and scratches. Side moldings have dings that could be removed by a professional polishing shop.
