History:
Built by Group Racing Developments (GRD) in 1975, it bears the chassis number of a '73 car: the GRD 373-047-F3 was supplied to the Swedish team Hans Wngstre in the same year for use by the driver Ingvar Carlsson.
The car was however destroyed in an accident in April 1975. Wngstre sold the damaged original monocoque to the Norwegian driver Dick Berg who had it restored as the original 373. However, Wangstre commissioned GRD to use parts of the original car on a new monocoque and to send it back to Sweden with the original chassis number, thus avoiding customs duties.
The car returned to Sweden in the autumn of 1975 and was used in 1976 by a young Stefan Johansson, who drove it in the Swedish championship and in various races around Europe.
The driver won the British Formula 3 title in 1980 ushering in a successful career that allowed him to land in Formula 1.
The car was owned by:
- Hans Wngstre 1975 - 1977
- Tryggve Grnvall 1978 - 1979
- Bertil Neth 1979 - 1980
- Hkan Alriksson 1980 - 2002
