Description

This Honda VF750 F was registered for the first time in 1988, but was built in 1985, this is shown on the motorcycle.
The motorcycle is in a very nice original condition and drives great, a unique piece of motorcycle history for the lover of classic old-timer motorcycles.

This model Honda motorcycle was offered from 1982 to 1986 in three versions (VF 750 S, VF 750 C and VF 750 F). The VF 750 S was the first motorcycle to be presented with the new V4 technology. The transversely mounted engine delivered 60 kW (82 hp) at 9,500 rpm in the basic version. The model series established Honda's V4 tradition. The cylinder bank angle of the V-engine was 90°. The mixture was prepared by 4 Keihin constant pressure carburetors VD 62 A with a diameter of 32 mm (VF 750 S/C), (VD 61 B with 30 mm for the VF 750 F). The compression ratio was 10.5:1. The two left-hand cylinders fired one after the other at a 90-degree angle; the two right-hand cylinders 270 degrees later at a distance of 90 degrees crank angle. This resulted in a firing deviation of 360 degrees for each cylinder bank. This irregular firing order resulted in a particularly strong power and an exhaust note that was typical of these V4 engines and vaguely reminiscent of a Ducati V2 engine. VF 750F
The sports model named Interceptor (English for interceptor), internally known as RC 15, was not only characterized by the chassis design, but also by the peak power that had been increased by 6 or 3 kW. [2] The engine housing differed from the S and C versions in that the two front cylinders were tilted slightly upwards (while maintaining the 90-degree cylinder bank angle), which not only improved the center of gravity, but also shortened the wheelbase. In addition, the F engine had camshafts with a 3-degree longer intake timing and 5-degree tighter exhaust timing. The valve lift was increased by a quarter of a millimeter. Primary power transmission took place via a five-speed gearbox. The 18 kg steel frame was made of square tubes for greater rigidity. The wheelbase was 1495 mm, the steering head angle was 61 degrees 50', the trail was 96 mm and the suspension travel front/rear was 140 / 110 mm. Standpipe diameter 39 mm. Brakes front: 276 mm double disc, rear: 296 mm single disc. Tyre size front: 120/80-V16, rear: 130/80-V18 on riveted Comstar rims. Top speed: 216 km/h. Fuel tank capacity/reserve: 22 / 4 l. Empty weight (fully fuelled): 248 kg The chopper's power was 55 kW / 75 hp in 1982 and 1983. In 1984 this was increased to 63 kW / 86 hp.
