This lovely 1935 AC 16/70 Six Drophead Coupe comes from one of England’s, rich heritage, oldest car manufactures. Just 618 of the entire range of ‘Six’ models, including the 60/70/80/90, were ever produced. Only a few are still around today. This 16/70 Drophead coupe has a 1991 cc straight six engine. The 16/70 denotes the tax bracket (16) and the horsepower (70). No British Pre-War collection should be without this unique straight six 4-seater! Initially this was an English registered car that found its way to Sweden in 1977. It belonged to AC-owners club members and there is ample documentation and correspondence available, including UK to Swedish correspondence and between enthusiasts and previous owners. This past restored car has good bodywork with nice and well fitting body panels. Although good, the paint finish is not perfect. A little while ago a specialist in England overhauled the engine. Since then it has only travelled some 12,000 miles. Recently a £3,500 service was carried out. Mechanically speaking this car runs and works very nicely. This unique Pre-War 4-seater straight-six convertible comes with extensive provenance!
