Jaguar E-Type Series 1, 4.2 Liter from 1967
The Jaguar E-types remain the icons of British motor history. These cars are so sportive and breathtaking combined with elegance and great power.
This lovely E-type is from 1967 and has a mighty 4.2 liter version under its bonnet which delivers 225 hp. It is a blast to drive with! It accelerates, drives and shifts well and it engine runs smooth.
The car found its first owner in Maine, USA when supplied by Jaguar Cars, Bew York, USA in May 1967. The stood her entire life until 1993 in the US when it had been imported to Germany. In 1993 the car underwent a fully restoration which has been carried out by LARO Automobiles. The car had been dismantled, chassis works have been carried, paint work, engine overhaul, break system etc. In 1997 this charming Jaguar found its new home by its current German owner and is since (28 years) in long-term ownership!
The car presents itself in optical and technical very good condition with a charming patina and little signs of usage and worn. The car is very well serviced and maintained with all invoices present. The current owner has refurbished some components of the car: the car is equipped with a 5-speed Getrag manual (4-speed gearbox still present) , wooden steering wheel, a lovely Becker Mexico radio and safety belts. As the family travelled a lot and in order to have more place for luggage, there is an extra boot lid coming with the car with a luggage rack installed, so that they could always carry an extra suitcase with them. In fact, the car has two boot lids which can be easily switched and comes with its aluminum suitcase.
The car is very appealing in its lovely color scheme: finished in color “carmine red” with a black leather interior. An aluminum dashboard with all instruments in full function order, 25.696 miles on its clock, lovely chrome all through, hood and tonneau the E-Type presents itself as it has to be! Equipped with chrome spoke rims, tools and a spare tire in the trunk.
On cooler day the car has a nice look when the hood is closed. The car can be driven open on lovely summer days, closed in autumn and winter days and is ready to hit the road for rally and tour!
It is the ideal car to go on journey and holidays with. Certainly not a concours car but a real and honest driver.
The Jaguar is registered in Germany on German number plates.
A really cared and sought-after Jaguar 1st series example.
