The Jaguar S-Type is a saloon car produced by Jaguar Cars in the United Kingdom from 1963 to 1968.
Announced on 30 September 1963, it was a more technically advanced development of the Mark 2, offering buyers a more luxurious alternative without the size and cost of the Mark X.
The S-Type was sold alongside the MKII Mark 2, and the Jaguar 420 after its release in 1966.
A retro-styled Jaguar S-Type of the same name was also produced in the late 1990s, based on the design of the original S-Type vehicles.
The Jaguar S-Type offered here was delivered new in 1964. The car was first registered in the Netherlands in 1981. A full nuts and bolt restoration began in late 1988. This took several years. But at the time, everything was done very well, as evidenced by the many invoices and photos of this restoration that are included with the car. The car is equipped with the powerful 3.4 liter 6 cylinder engine, which is coupled to a manual gearbox with 4 gears. And an overdrive!
On the outside, the Jaguar S is provided with the white color; Old English White. The inside is, of course, provided with a dashboard of a lot of beautiful burr walnut. The leather upholstery on the seats is in the color red; Oxblood red.
The beautiful chrome spoke wheels make the whole on the outside into that true iconic English classic. What a car.
The current owner has recently had the car very well maintained, major maintenance including replacement of many gaskets, coolant hoses, carburetors full service etc. etc.
The car drives sublimely!
If you are looking for a special Jaguar that you can enjoy on the road with, then this S-type is a tasteful choice.
