The XKR Silverstone was a celebration not only of Jaguar's return to racing through Formula 1 but of its long association with the world famous British circuit
In order to mark the occasion, Jaguar produced a limited run of 100 Jaguar XKR 'Silverstone' editions of which 50 were Coupé variants and 50 Convertibles
All the cars were finished in Platinum Silver combined with black leather upholstery and red stitching
Powered by a supercharged 4-litre V8, delivering 370bhp and 387lb/ft of torque to the rear wheels via a smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic transmission
They were specified with CATS (computer activated technology suspension), 20" silver BBS Detroit split-rim wheels, an uprated chassis, Brembo brakes and a delightful 'Birds-Eye' maple dashboard
First registered in 2000, this example was purchased by its current owner in 2012 and has remained in dry storage until recently being returned to the road with full service, MOT and new tyres
