Jaguar XK120 OTS 1952 for sale
Exterior: The Jaguar XK120 OTS in British racing green with a green leather interior. The Jaguar has a very nice and shiny paintwork. One of the reasons it has an incredible depth and shine is because it is a cellulose paint, just like it was originally. It picked up a few small scratches over the years, but the overall impression is very impressive. The lighter green spoke wheels go well with the piping around the fenders of the car. Most of the chrome details are new. Only the grill in the front is showing some age. That split windscreen is one of the distinct features that give the Jaguar XK120 its character. Shut lines are great for a Jaguar from this time period. Even though the Jaguar XK120 could do 120 miles/hour, the previous owner has fitted the car with a set of wing mirrors as well as one extra mirror on the front screen, so you can spot traffic catching up with you. This open two-seater Jaguar has only a tonau cover to protect the cabin from the rain, if you need to leave it outside overnight.
Interior: Gorgeous green leather with new black carpets. Nice looking and fully working instruments on the leather wrapped dashboard. There is also a heater package that is turned on in the engine bay for those colder days here in Scandinavia. Behind the seats, you have a small compartment for your toothbrush when you go traveling. Today, there is a main power switch fitted here and a fire extinguisher in case one of your friends’ cars should catch on fire. The trunk area is nice and clean. The original spare wheel has a compartment on its own underneath the trunk area.
Engine: It is the original 3.4l engine that was installed in 1952 according to the chassis plate. It was recently fitted with a set of new spark plugs and it fires up making a sound that any petrolhead will adore. The gearbox is excellent. The brakes were upgraded to disc brakes up front making maintenance easier and giving you better stopping power when you have been flat out in 120 miles/hour.
History: The Jaguar XK120 OTS currently for sale came from Texas, USA, to Sweden in April 2001. The restoration work started soon after arrival and the car came back in traffic here in Sweden in May 2019. It then went through Technical Inspection and does not need further inspections here due to its age. It has not been driven much after the restoration and still looks incredibly fresh. There has been only one owner of the car during its life in Sweden. This was this gentleman’s dream car, and all work has been done with special care. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us today and we must find a new home for this beautiful Jaguar.
If you live in Sweden and would like to sell your classic Jaguar please let us know here.E-type, XK140, XK150, XJ and more.
