Description

The Jaguar XK150 "S" OTS is a car that needs no introduction.

Released in 1957, this successor to the legendary XK140 absolutely raised the bar in terms of standards in luxury and performance. The model came with a powerful six-cylinder 3.4-litre engine, good for 250 hp in the exclusive ‘S’ version. The XK150 introduced all-round disc brakes for the first time, a development that put Jaguar on the map with five consecutive Le Mans victories. These refinements gave the XK150 not only speed, but also the braking power and precision befitting a true racing icon.

At the time, the XK150 S was the ultimate culmination of Jaguar's years of racing experience and technological innovation. To match the brutal power of the ‘C-type’ engine, the XK150 S received three SU HD8 carburettors, a lighter flywheel and a sharper camshaft, good for a breathtaking driving experience. A limited edition of just 846 examples of the open two-seater in left-hand drive. This combination of rarity and engineering mastery make the XK150 S a coveted classic.

This particular XK150 S OTS, meticulously restored to its original 1958 specifications, is a rare find. For the first time shown here at Brussels again since the complete nut&bolt restoration, completely to the original specifications as it left the factory on 12 August 1958. Fully ‘matching numbers and colours’ in stunning Cream over Red, with a black hood and overdrive manual transmission. Every detail is correct, even the windscreen wiper motor is matching.
