The XK150 debuted in 1957 as the successor to the XK140 and represented an evolution of its predecessors. The bodywork featured smoother lines, a single-piece windshield, and a more spacious, comfortable interior. It remained unmistakably a Jaguar XK, but with a more modern feel.
Under the long hood lies the familiar six-cylinder XK engine, a powerplant that has earned its place in Jaguar’s history and perfectly suits the character of the XK150. It offers both speed when needed and relaxed performance when desired.
This example demonstrates the significant difference a good restoration can make. It underwent a complete body-off restoration by a Dutch Jaguar specialist known for meticulous workmanship. The results are still clearly visible.
To enhance comfort for longer drives, a five-speed manual transmission was installed, fitting well with the car’s character and noticeably improving driving experience. Additionally, a period-correct Webasto sunroof was added, providing a unique touch to the driving experience.
