Description

Jaguar's history has repeatedly demonstrated the Coventry-based manufacturer's ability to create outstanding cars.
But in addition to the most iconic models, such as the E-Type and XJ, it also created a number of solid and elegant cars, though somewhat forgotten today.
One of these is undoubtedly the Mark V.
After the end of World War II, Jaguar focused on building a new model range and emphasizing an identity that straddled sport and luxury.
The Jaguar Mark V was a model that introduced several new features for the manufacturer, such as: headlights integrated into the fenders, the option of ordering left- or right-hand drive versions, independent front suspension, hydraulic brakes, and so-called "spats" (rear wheel covers).
The manufacturer had strong arguments at the time that fueled demand for its cars, including the Mark V.
One of these was a thoroughly modernized 3.5-liter inline-six engine with valve lifters. It produced 126 horsepower and transferred it efficiently to the road through a four-speed manual gearbox.
Jaguar produced a total of 10,499 Mark V models, of which only 577 were left-hand drive Drop Head Coupés.

This is one of them.

Vehicle History and Condition:

This Jaguar, like several other cars in our offer, remained in the hands of a single owner for many years, being part of a private car collection.
During this period, it underwent a restoration that prepared it for decades of future use. Although it remains fully functional, our company provided it with a thorough inspection, which included:

– oil service

– inspection of the braking, ignition, and fuel systems

– replacement of all operating fluids

The gearbox operates smoothly throughout its full range, and all six engine cylinders operate smoothly, striving to develop the manufacturer's declared power.
During the restoration, the bodywork received a new paint job and is rust-free.
Jaguar's interior also presents itself impressively.
The wood is in excellent condition, and the leather upholstery has only minor imperfections in the form of discoloration on the passenger seat.
Restoration also included the Jaguar's roof, which received a new cover and opens in two positions (full and "landaulet").
Jaguar retains part of its original tool kit, which is no longer available in most examples on the market.

The Mark V we offer is a testament to Jaguar's past standing and engineering prowess.
It combines elegance with respectable performance and the driving experience of a fully-fledged classic car.
It is undoubtedly a great opportunity to add to your collection, or simply acquire a beautiful classic
with undisputed investment value.
