History of the Lancia 037
An icon in Group B Rallying and a legend in the world of rally cars, this is Lancia 037! The story of this mid-engine rally car starts in the early 1980s, designed to compete in the FIA Group B World Rally Championship and to win against the mighty Audi Quattro with its 4WD. Driven by Markku Alén, Attilio Bettega, and Walter Röhrl, the car won with great success rallying and in 1983 Lancia won the manufacturers' world championship. It was the last rear-wheel drive car to win the WRC, making the legendary Lancia 037 the last of an era.
The 037 is Reborn!
Retro Coachbuilders 037 Reborn is the work of thousands of hours, to create the legendary rally car that is the Lancia 037. Built with accurate designs, this reproduction is a true thoroughbred of rally. The 037 Reborn is built in our atelier in Italy, using the same build methods of the original 037. Such as the coachwork being handcrafted in vetroresina, as per the cars built in period. Available in two forms Reborn Classic and Reborn Retro. Classic with correct Lancia straight-4 supercharged engine as per the original. The Retro version is available with modern powertrain options and modern upgrades as a Restomod Spec version. Each 037 reproduction is bespoke for each client in both mechanical as well as, exterior and interior specifications. Interior is as per the original with correct gauges, dashboard, steering wheel and upholstery.
