This 1980 Mazda RX-7 GS was reportedly acquired out of storage in 2023, after which the fuel tank was cleaned, the carburetor was rebuilt, the tires and battery were replaced, and brake work was completed. The car is finished in Tornado Silver Metallic over black vinyl and gray cloth and is powered by a 1.1-liter 12A rotary paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The 1.1-liter 12A Wankel rotary was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 100 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. Work in April 2023 is said to have included removing and cleaning the fuel tank, replacing the fuel filter, spark plugs, and battery, and rebuilding the carburetor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
