This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.
First registered in 1994, this car is understood to be one of just 500 factory-produced RS Limited examples, making it one of the most sought-after special editions of the NA-generation MX-5.
It was imported from Japan in 2000 and has been enjoyed by its current owner since 2010.
The factory RS Limited specification includes Bilstein suspension, a yellow front strut brace, 15-inch BBS multi-spoke alloy wheels, a Torsen limited-slip differential with additional chassis bracing, revised anti-roll bars, a lightened flywheel, and a shorter 4.3:1 final drive ratio.
The car is finished in distinctive Montego Blue Mica (colour code M8), a shade that subtly changes between deep blue and green depending on the light. The interior has been upgraded with later Mk 3 seats.
It is powered by Mazda's responsive 1.8-litre twin-cam engine paired with a manual gearbox.
The accompanying history file contains previous MOT certificates, invoices, parts catalogues, and a workshop manual.
Viewing is recommended for this rare opportunity to acquire one of the ultimate factory-developed NA MX-5s, combining rarity, driver-focused specifications, and classic Mazda roadster appeal.
