Description

“Everything for a reason.” — McLaren

With this philosophy in mind, McLaren launched the 720S at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and from that moment it was immediately clear: this was a completely new generation of Super Series.

The second-generation Super Series was introduced as a true clean-sheet design, with an enormous amount of forward-thinking engineering. Built around an all-new carbon-fibre tub, lighter and stiffer than the one found in the 650S, it took technology first developed for the P1 and pushed it even further. Technology that would later also form the basis for cars such as the Senna.
With earlier McLaren models, you could sometimes get the feeling that the car had first been put through the wind tunnel, with the designers then asked to work around whatever shape the aerodynamics demanded. With the 720S, the design became far more expressive. More dramatic, more sculpted and instantly recognisable.

Yet McLaren still managed to ensure that virtually every line, opening and surface serves a purpose. Nothing is there by accident. Everything is essential. Everything is efficient.

The 720S Performance we have here is a German-delivered example and has had just three owners from new, all of whom have clearly been extremely careful with the car. It has covered only 13,600 kilometres from new and remains in completely original paint throughout.

Its service history is spotless, and the car is ready for its next owner to experience exactly what McLaren intended: a car capable of delivering serious G-forces to your body while making it all feel remarkably effortless.

A genuinely superb example of one of the most important modern McLarens — engineered without compromise and designed with one simple principle in mind:

Everything for a reason.
