Description

The Mercedes-Benz 280 TE Station belongs to the S123 series, the station wagon variant of the W123 series introduced in the late 1970s. The W123 was a successor to the W114 and W115 models and was known for its broad international sales. The station wagon version was developed and produced by Mercedes-Benz itself, rather than by an external bodybuilder, and was launched after the sedan.

The 280 TE Station is the six-cylinder gasoline version with fuel injection, indicated by the "T" for "Tourismus und Transport." It offers a practical, well-equipped variant within the lineup, combining spaciousness, solid construction, and a design suitable for both private and business use. Production ran from 1977 to 1985, after which it was succeeded by the S124.

This model features a longer roofline and a rear cargo area designed for flexibility. It stands out for its six-cylinder engine and station wagon characteristics. The vehicle runs and shifts gears, but the interior and exterior have some imperfections. The spark plugs were recently replaced, and the brakes are wearing and require overhaul.

This Mercedes-Benz 280 TE Station is part of the W123 family, known for its drivetrain and transmission functionality. It is being auctioned online by Classic Car Auctions in the "Classics Sports Cars Summer Auction." The bidding starts at €1,000, with the estimated value at the lower end. The car can be viewed during designated viewing days.

The auction opens on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. and closes on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. The vehicle is located at Anthony Fokkerweg 7, 1422 AE Uithoorn, The Netherlands.

Viewing days are scheduled for Friday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.classiccar-auctions.com.
