Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster from 1956 with a 4-speed manual transmission.
Sold new in Sweden by Philipsons Automobil AB in Stockholm on April 13, 1956, to its first owner in north Sweden. In 1968 it later moved to Stockholm, and since 2019 it has been part of the Ucars collection.
The vehicle is in usable condition but has not been on the road for approximately the last 10 years. The engine and gearbox run well; however, a technical inspection and a new fuel tank will be required before returning to road use.
According to available information, the original exterior colour was red and the engine has most likely been replaced at some point during its lifetime.
This is an early 190 SL, built during the model’s initial production years when several design elements were still closely related to the 300 SL. It is equipped with bucket seats in the Gullwing style, a rare and desirable period feature that enhances the interior character. An honest and complete example, suitable for continued use, improvement or a full restoration.
