This roadster was designed to be a small 300SL. Created in collaboration with Max Hoffman, the Mercedes-Benz importer in the USA, the model was presented in 1954 in New York.
The design was conceived by Karl Wilfert and Walter Hackert. Together with the 300SL, these were the first two cars in the SL range, which stood for "Sport Leicht".
By the time the 190SL was discontinued in 1963, 25,881 units had been produced. A robust car with well-developed lines, it appeals to enthusiasts interested in an elegant, high-performance and solid car. Very well built, it is suitable for daily use.
Our example has only 00371km on the clock. The red leather upholstery and the soft top are in good condition. A prestigious car ready for the road.
