A little sister to the 300sl Gullwing in roadster form, the 190sl was built by popular demand in the U.S. market and was a worldwide success in style and drivability.
The car recently underwent a total professional conservative restoration to the engine that brought this '59 Classic back to life. Bodywork, with shock absorbers, brake system and electrical system disassembled and checked screw by screw. Matching Numbers i.e. engine, transmission and chassis never replaced since the car's birth and matching colors. Externally the car is preserved. All numbers match Booklet and Production Record, all numbers correct. Engine completely disassembled and rebuilt, overhauled and calibrated (mounts Solex PHH44 carburetors). Interior maintained with original frames has been upholstered with black Connolly leathers as originally. Original Blaupunkt radio of the time. New electrical system. Clock housed on dashboard door opener working, Work meticulously performed. Very few miles since the end of the restoration, it is used regularly to maintain its full efficiency, mounts Michelin ZX 6.40 tires.
