Introduced in 1955, the Mercedes 190 SL is an elegant convertible that pays homage to its predecessor, the 300 SL. The 190 SL was the creation of in-house designers Karl Wilfert and Walter Hackert. They crafted a refined car powered by a four-cylinder engine known for its durability. Production of the 190 SL ended in 1963.
The particular example offered exclusively by Veitura has undergone a complete restoration from the bare body by Classic Auto Restor. It features numerous new parts such as the wiring harness, starter, alternator, fuel system, original Solex carburetors, treated fuel tank, and completely reupholstered interior. The convertible top is also new.
The car has had an engine replacement, with the current engine displaying 23,105 kilometers on the odometer. Its MOT (Ministry of Transport) inspection is clean.
The vehicle was appraised by Classic Expert in February 2021 for a value of 160,000 euros.
