History:
Mercedes-Benz W111, commonly known as the Wing? This model was presented for the first time in 1959 in Frankfurt, as a generation of upper class limousines, which was to replace the popular "Ponton" To meet these expectations, it was also powered by a 6-cylinder engine, and to distinguish it from other models, chrome-plated ?fins were added to the fender. They were borrowed from American fashion. In the 60s, the W111 was a symbol of classics and elegance, which thanks to its modern silhouette and many interesting solutions was a very desirable car. Minor flaws such as outdated drum brakes and the rear pendulum axle did not prevent it from setting standards of chic and elegance. In Poland, the car was especially liked by taxi drivers, it provided passengers with comfort and convenience, for which they were more willing to pay.
