The Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen was originally conceived as a military vehicle, but as early as 1979 the car was offered for private use. Later, the car became known as the G-Class and the model gained a widely known reputation as a luxury off-road vehicle. Increasingly, the G-Class was positioned as a very luxurious SUV while retaining all-wheel drive and off-road qualities. Over the years, there have been numerous facelifts and the model series has unwaveringly nestled itself on the wish list of the luxury off-roader.The Mercedes-Benz 230 GE belongs to the W463 series that entered the market in 1990. It was the first version in which everything that had a spartan character had been replaced by luxury along the lines of the S-Class. This is immediately noticeable, for example, in the wood inlays on the dashboard. Still, the car has permanent all-wheel drive with an electric limited slip differential that allows it to handle the toughest off-road conditions without a problem. The 230 GE is the version with the most powerful four-cylinder engine. This 230 GE is equipped with a power sunroof and an automatic transmission. The car is in good condition.
