The B used a more modern uni-body construction rather than the traditional body-on-frame. Styling differences over the years were mostly restricted to front and rear bumpers, moving from shiny chrome bumpers in the early years to larger, heavier black rubber bumpers to comply with increasingly strict safety regulations.
