motodrome offer this very late registered, (1996) low mileage MG R V8, finished, as most were, in Woodcote Green metallic with stone beige leather interior and with a black mohair hood.

Of the 1983 examples produced, 1579 of them were initially exported to Japan, and this is one of them, having been repatriated to the UK in 2002.

Specification wise the Japanese cars are almost the same, except for the factory fitted air conditioning, and deletion of the under bumper driving lights (to make room for the aircon radiators, and a KPH speedometer, although this one now has an MPH speedo.

It comes with the MGR number plate as shown in the photos. .

It’s in standard specification with the exception of improved Spax shock absorbers all round, and a performance air filter.

This one has superb provenance, and the V5 shows just 3 previous owners since importation in 2002, with the last owner having had it since 2017.

When imported, the mileage was 16285km ie 10178m. A brand new MPH speedo was then fitted, and that now shows just under 9900 miles, meaning it’s covered just over 20000 miles in total. So, a nice low mileage one.

Unusually, it retains it’s original Japanese service book, which supports the mileage when it returned to the UK.

We have excellent service history for this one since it’s return to the UK. Apart from regular servicing, (last serviced just over 1000 miles ago) history highlights include
