1935 MG PA 2-SEATER (Restoration Project)...Green with Green leather, 1 of just 1,973 PA’s produced, Desirable 2-seater model, 847cc OHC, Twin SU carb engine with 4-speed manual gearbox, Chassis PA1964 was purchased new by Mr Lilleywhite, Rolls Royce Agent and proprietor of the famous Manor Road Garage in East Preston (Established 1919), Sussex on the 13th May 1935 and registered with the Southampton issued registration number OW 6881, The PA duly was used on the Lilleywhites honeymoon and used by Mrs Lillywhite to visit family in the new Forest. Taken off the road from 1939 to 1948 with outbreak of World War 2 and then used until 1956 when the car was stored at Manor Road Garage alongside Mr Lillywhites Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental and Silver Dawn. In 1973 Manor Road Garage closed and was left abandoned, Mr Lillywhite passed away in 1997 and Mrs Lillywhite in 2007, Mr & Mrs Lillywhite Son Henry finally opened up Manor Road Garage after 34 years untouched and discovered the familys MG & Rolls Royces, with the MG having not moved for some 51 years ! The newly discovered matching numbers PA was in remarkable original condition throughout with only the dashboard wood ravaged by time, Complete with its original weather equipment, tools and original buff logbook, Original MG P-Series Instruction Manual, Old tax discs dating back to 1948, Mr Lillywhite pocket diary dated 1928 ! and photos of the day the car was rescued from Manor Road Garage- An amazing time warp one family owner MG PA for 73 years ! The incredible art deco building of Manor Road Garage was purchased by developers in 2011 and listed by Historic England, the building was lovely restored and is complete with its original 30/40’s petrol pumps still on display, A super rare opportunity to acquire a rare pre-war MG in true barn find original condition - An extraordinary find.
