The Morris Minor is a very well-known and friendly classic car that was produced in very large numbers (over 1.6 million) from 1948 to 1971. As a successor to the Morris Eight, this compact, economical and affordable car was introduced in 1948 and eventually brought onto the market in various body variants. In addition to the sedan, convertible and station wagon (the well-known Traveller with wooden frame), a van was also produced. This so-called Quarter Ton Van was produced from 1953.
This beautiful Morris Minor Van was produced in 1968 and is therefore one of the last series of this model. This car was originally delivered in Austria and in 2017 this Morris was registered in the Netherlands. The car was completely body-off restored some time ago and is still in exceptionally good and beautiful condition. Incidentally, the car has not been driven much in recent years and has mainly been used for marketing purposes. However, it is clearly visible that the car has had a lot of love and care.
The body is still in very good condition. The stylish body colour still has a deep shine and the various chrome and trim parts are also still in very good condition. This also applies to the various rubber parts, which are also in very good condition. The body parts fit together well and the doors and rear doors open and close solidly.
The interior is also still in very neat condition. The seats were completely reupholstered during the restoration and are very comfortable. The dashboard is still in good condition and looks particularly nice. The various chrome and trim parts are also still in neat condition. The loading space also gives a neat and tidy impression. It is clear to see that the car has been thoroughly and professionally restored in the past, with a great deal of attention to originality.
When we open the bonnet, we see a particularly neat and well-maintained engine compartment. Here too, it is clear that the car has been maintained with great care. This Morris Minor Van drives particularly smoothly. Shifting is very good and accurate and the steering also feels solid. The 1098 cc petrol engine runs quietly and smoothly. The brakes also feel firm and good.
The Morris Minor Van has become a somewhat rarer appearance these days. That makes this beautiful classic car, in exceptionally beautiful condition, extra attractive!
