This 1974 Oldsmobile Omega (1973 front clip) is not
grandma’s Oldsmobile. It’s paying homage to the great 70s American drag cars of the day. She’s packing a 1968 455ci
big block punched out to 467ci with aluminum
heads, 11.5:1 compression forged internals, a custom ground cam gives it tons of chop! Backed
by a T56 speed manual, ford 9” rear with Detroit
locker, 4:11s and caltrack suspension out back
90/10 Lockwood front shocks. Street legal with the
stainless steal long tube headers closed (wireless
electric cutout collectors for track time) disc breaks on all four corners, custom rear bumper has been narrowed
and shortened to have a nice tight fit, front fiber
glass bumper.
Paint work is about 3 years old and needs some
attention, interior front seats all new vinyl and foam,
rear seat new vinyl needs foam or restuffed. Newer
headliner and sail panels (extremely hard to fine!)
tons of extra parts go with the car including a
TH375 auto transmission, two front fenders,
chrome front bumper and more.
The engine was originally built to run on 110 octane fuel but has had some timing taken out of it to run on 93 octane. There is so much more this engine can put out!
Not 100% completed, needs a few cosmetic things and some final touches here and there. Finish her up just the way you want it. More pictures and info if needed.
