Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to offer this amazing 1934 Oldsmobile Country Club Coupe for sale. According to its owner, there were only 400 of these cars ever produced, and of those, this is the last one known to exist. Not only is that a unique aspect of this car, but according to him, his great grandfather purchased it new, and he is the second owner. Now, we have no way of verifying that, but we'll take his word for it. The car comes with a binder of restoration photos, and suffice it to say that it went from an original steel roller to what you now see, which is pretty wild. It now sports a new custom-fabbed 1/4 x 2 x 4 rectangular tube steel frame, which has been boxed and subframed with a "Z'd, smoothed, painted and finished" configuration. It features Heidts Superide polished stainless steel front suspension, and Heidts Superide Power Rack and Pinion steering. The rear suspension is a polished stainless TCI 4-link setup with adjustable chromed Carrera 350lb spring setup. The rear is a Ford 9" with 3.51:1 gears, and was balanced by Art Morrison. It features a custom Tulsa Drive Shafts drive shaft, which has been balanced to 6500 RPM. The front brakes are discs from a 1988 Corvette, and the rears are standard Ford drums, but the power assist comes from the 1988 Corvette's booster. A monster 502 CID GM/Keikhafer Racing Marine crate motor, topped by a dual quad intake from a 427 Corvette, and dual Edelbrock 4BBL carbs, and is backed by a beefed up 700R4 4-speed automatic transmisson. Hedman headers handle getting exhaust into the dual exhaust, and the offset Turbo mufflers sound great. The body features a 2" angle chop, suicide doors, recessed parking lights, computerized rear lighting, fenders have been welded on and smoothed, along with the running boards. The PPG Pale Orange/Red Orange, and Hawaiian Amethyst base coat/clear coat finish was masterfully applied by Larry Trip of Muskogee, OK. This bad boy not only looks good, but it pulls like a 747 on steroids. If you ever get tired of listing to the monster 502, you can take advantage of the audio system, which features four 1.5" Piezo tweeters, four 6" midrange, and a 12-inch subwoofer. Sound gets to the speakers via a Sony KT7500 head unit, supported by bridged 4 channel 800W amp and 400W subwoofer amp. Vintage Air has been installed, but it's never been charged with refrigerant. The occupants will find the custom burgundy leather-covered 2002 Acura Legend seats to be very comfortable for long cruises. This is one very custom ride, and you can count on winning plenty of trophies at the car shows you'll want to drive it to! Call or email our Houston Showroom for more information about this very unique custom!
